A short description of our company...
iSYMED GmbH, a synonym for Innovative Systems in Medical Care, was founded by three ambitious engineers in January 1994. Our activities lie mainly in the area of medical, dialysis, and communication technology.
Since its foundation, iSYMED has continuously expanded, counting now eight members as part of its team. Among them, a qualified computer scientist as well as qualified engineers for bio-medical technology, telecommunications/computer science and electronic technology. A qualified physicist, various nephrologists as well as nurses and dialysis technicians, support and assist us throughout the development of our medical software and hardware products.

We've made it our goal, the development of highly efficient software and hardware components that meet the high requirements of daily dialysis practice. For us, innovation means the constant application of the newest technology, from the moment one of our products is designed until its development is completed. The integration capability of our software products into established medical systems is for us an absolute requirement.

The FINESSEŽ System sets new standards for dialysis...
In cooperation with Fresenius Medical Care, iSYMED pioneered with the FINESSE^Ž system, the development of the first Dialysis Management System with integrated online data acquisition. In just a short period of time, FINESSE^Ž has successfully established itself in the market, with more than 130 systems installed worldwide in over 25 countries.

FINESSE^Ž received during spring 1996, the Richard-Merten award for innovative medical systems.

"Dialysis Quality Assurance" has become extremely important nowadays, and its importance continues to grow day by day. We recognized this fact from the very beginning, making it in conjunction with an easy to use interface, one of our main criteria in the development of our programs. MWAudit and FINESSE^Ž are the first software solutions that provide an easy to use wizard for urea kinetics modeling based on the latest scientific research.

Communication with any medical device...
Since an online data acquisition system can only be effective if it allows the connectivity of a wide-range of medical devices, it is one of our primary tasks to provide the interface between any kind of medical equipment and our Monitoring System. Among the devices that can already be integrated you'll find patient scales made by Seca, Mettler, Scaletronics and Soehnle; blood pressure monitors made by Critikon, Welch Allyn and Elmed; blood gas analyzers made by AVL, Radiometer and Chiron; infusion and respiration devices made by Draeger; vital parameter monitors made by Hewlett-Packard and many other equipment. In addition to the standard connection of all dialysis machines from Fresenius Medical Care, devices made by Gambro, Cobe and Hospal can also be integrated.

Our fields of activity...
Our main emphasis lies on the development and certification of hardware and software products. Distribution, planning and installation of software and hardware as well as support is part of our service. Since we are an authorized system center and a registered Microsoft dealer, we provide full solutions for systems and computer periphery in the dialysis area.
