A special feature for the 4008 series is the automatic machine setup called "DOWNLOAD". Setup information stored in the FINESSE database as well as UF parameters calculated from the patients weight can be sent to the machine on inserting the patient key thus preventing time intensive and mistake affected manual setup.

Dynamic and user settable sampling frequency independently for machine and modules offers data rates for research as well as for the routine protocol and quality assurance.

Automatic time synchronization of the machine internal clock through the system server.

The patient identification is fully supported by using the patient key interface built into each machine.

The various communication features are depending on the machine software/options version.
